The Healing Power of Imagination

Imagination is a powerful tool! Yet it is something that we often don’t use to its full capacity. Especially as we get older and busier in life we tend to think that we don’t need to give in to childish imaginations. That it’s kids stuff and as grown ups we need to do grown up things. Well an imagination isn’t just kids stuff. Imagination is a very grown up thing. And something that as grown ups we should learn to use more fully and intently as children do.

Maybe as grown ups you’d prefer the term Manifestation! It’s pretty much the same thing! Bringing to life, creating something that we desire that currently doesn’t exist in our reality as we understand it. But when we are able to have a truly focused intention on creating and imagining things… they will manifest themselves and become actualities in our lives. Be it something physical we desire or someone different we hope to become. If you can imagine it, you can create it and become it!

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
— George Bernard Shaw

Imagination is a power, a gift of creation, that no other species or creation of Nature possesses. But we do! So let’s use it! Let’s use this powerful tool of creation to create a better Self, a better dream, a better reality, a better world. Let’s use imaginations’ creative and redemptive healing power to change and overcome the assumptions that we have and that we hold on to that tell us that we can’t have or do something or be someone that we desire and believe we can.

We don’t have to be slaves to our assumptions, nor to the assumptions of others. We can become masters of our own creation and live the life we desire to live. And we are able to know what that life is and have the power to create it through our imagination!

“When you understand the redemptive function of imagination, you hold in your hands the key to the solution of all your problems. Every phase of your life is made by the exercise of your imagination. Determined imagination alone is the means of your progress, of the fulfilling of your dreams. It is the beginning and end of all creating.”

—Neville Goddard

Imagine what you’d like to create in your life and the type of world you want to experience. Do you want to be a more loving person? Do you want to have more money? Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to eat more healthy foods? Do you want to be free of illness? Do you want to have more exciting experiences and travel to exotic places? Do you want to have stronger more committed and loving relationships? Do you want more peace and contentment in life?

You can have all of these and more by using the power of imagination. And I’m not just talking about imagining how nice those things would be to have and do and be. But through harnessing the real power of focused imagination… in time… you will create such things into actuality!

Everything you can imagine is real
— Pablo Picasso
